Movember is a movement to help bring light to unique men’s health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. In this iteration of our yearly campaign, I had the chance to both art direct and write to situations that some may consider "undignified," even though these situations could in fact prove lethal. The campaign was designed to bring a bit of light-heartedness to a heavy issue and was strategically placed throughout bathrooms where its audience was most captive.

The “Mo” hairball was where it all started. Moustaches have a malignant stigma against them (one I don’t particularly agree with, I should add) so I wanted to add a bit of personality to them. A simple illustrative hairball seemed like a way to make it seem less creepy and a little more cute and approachable. This was accompanied with a handmade font for that personal touch.

To carry the campaign throughout different spaces, hairballs and moustaches were placed throughout bathrooms where audiences were the most captive (and where the primary focus of Movember was... pertinent). Each was accompanied with headlines that focused on men's health and knowing that the embarrassing things we do are nothing to be ashamed of at all — and may even be indicators of our health.
